VERMONT SECRETARY OF ADMINISTRATION JEB SPAULDING TO PRESENT LECTURE AT JOHNSON STATE ON DEC. 9
JOHNSON, Vt. – Jeb Spaulding, secretary of the Vermont Agency of Administration, will present a lecture as part of the Vermont Politics Speaker Series at Johnson State College at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, in the Ellsworth Room of Willey Library Learning Center.
Before his appointment by Gov. Peter Shumlin in January 2011, Spaulding served as state treasurer from 2003 to 2010. As treasurer, he emphasized continuous improvement in the treasury fundamentals of cash, debt, investment and risk management. He was active in the National Association of State Treasurers and past president and chair of the long range planning committee. He also served eight terms in the Vermont State Senate from 1985 to 2000.
Professor and Vermont Sen. Bill Doyle’s classes host the weekly series featuring speakers ranging from newspaper and political reporters to state government officials.
The lectures are free and open to the public.
